DViCO Tvix 6600
Newest DViCO / Tvix player, now based on a Realtek 1283 chip rather than the older Sigma 8635. Has the usual swift operation and comprehensive format support of all the Realtek players but has made big improvements to the usual Realtek interface. The TViX interface is the best looking of any Realtek player so far.
The box itself is of better build quality than most of the Realtek players and has an innovative HD caddy system for easy switching. No front mounted ports. Can be optinally upgraded to become a full DTV PVR.
The DViCO players are pitched as premium products. The question is whether a prettier interface and possibly better build quality is worth a potential $199 extra..
This player is now available in both 1073DD and 1073DD+ chipset versions. The DD+ version will be labelled '6600+'. More info here.
