Prodigi PD-100N
Realtek 1073 based player with the same decent performance and good format support as all the Realteks. To differentiate it slightly, this one has two front mounted USB ports and inbuilt Bittorrent. The front mounted ports will be particularly useful to many people.
Since we last wrote about this player, Prodigi have created a website and released a series of firmware updates. These updates have brought the firmware up to date (in line with the Realtek releases) so delivering BD-ISO, NAS mode and more. The usual caveat for almost all Realtek players remains, the interface is strictly functional.
With the price having been reduced to under $100 this player now offers reasonable value for money.

Hi! This box looks to be a real value. Is there the potential for it to be upgraded to read bluray iso menus. I am creating BD isos with multiple audio sources and burning them to BD discs, but I want to be able to preview my projects on the tv first. A streamer that will accomplish this task is a must for me. Suggestions? March 30, 2010 - 18:08
Not likely. It's a licensing issue. Realtek players are budget products and it's not worth paying for it. Leave a Comment
