So, the HMP5000 has worse chipset then cheaper HMP3000? (Realtek 1073 vs 1055)? That sucks, Im returning it.

Please note that we don't know that for sure. The published specifications would indicate it though.

OK, I dismantled my device and it has 256 MB DDR3 (Hynix) ram, so I guess its not 1073 (DDR2 only) chipset. Also the PCB looks more like 1xx5 series.
The videos look better (more fluid and sharper) then on Asus OPlay mini (RTK 1055), and the menu and interface are almost identical.

Realtek 1185 chipset is not hmp5000 model? site, 1xx5 (2011) Written set of family, but, as a model, chipset, Realtek 1073 to 400 mhz information, if you had decided to give???! I think that you give the wrong information!
