Netgear Digital Entertainer Live (EVA2000)
Internet connected Media Player from NetGear. Only capable of 720p, no Full-HD. Very limited AV outputs including a complete absence of optical digital output. Only supports one USB hard drive at a time, no internal storage. Will not play DVD rips.

We were initially very excited about this player for it's attractive interface and comprehensive on-demand content. However, we had presumed it was capable of Full-HD 1080p. It isn't, and even Netgear's own review states that it has problems with playing even 720p smoothly, recommending the EVA9150 (using an old Sigma 8635) for 'power' users. It is no wonder Netgear are reluctant to reveal the chipset. Overall, this player could be a good choice if you value ease of use over technical ability, format support, and full-HD. It is more similar to the Apple TV than any of the other newer Media Players.
