A diversion form the norm. Android 2.2 based with an intergrated full web browser. The player appears to be derived from a tablet PC. Processor speed is given as 1.2Ghz which, considering the relatively low price, would indicate some kind of dual processor ARM Cortex A9 chipset. This is only a guess so if you know better please contact us.

Android on a media player is an idea first seen in 2010 with the HDX Bone. The key things to look for with this new Meteorit player will be how well the mouse/touch controls of Android have been translated to a set top box. And, of course, media file support and performance.

The IR remote is insensitive. The support service does not exist. M1cha May 31, 2011 - 11:47 As said above, this Box uses "88DE3010"-chipset. It includes the "ARM Cortex A9"-chipset, which is a dual-core CPU. But one core is used for audio/video-processing the the system can only use one core.
