Kodak Theatre HD
Fairly standard player with a novel pointer remote control and a friendly user interface. New firmware just released (July 2009) gives it 1080p capability, which is not very impressive since almost every other player we feature can handle 1080p and it took Kodak 7 months to get this update out. Reviews indicate file format compatability problems.

1080p is not that big a deal. This player has very nove features. If by file incompatibility you mean lack of support for mkv containers then that's about it. Otherwise it supports all modern codecs. It's a very neat player. My only complaint would be the lack of Mac support, and of course the price at this point which is too high. It is based on a sigma chip. Great video quality, probably the best You Tube out there. Not meant for torrent users... philip Leave a Comment
