Kaiboer K360i Discussion There are 10 comments

Kaiboer K360i seems to have a problem playing VOB files copied from DVD. The movie jumps to root menu when the movie is play or doing a time search. Seems to be a problem when it trasitions from one VOB file to another ie. _1.VOB to _2.VOB . (still no fix available - Jan 2012) Go with Himedia 600B.. a better choice December 21, 2011 - 07:33
This is a great media player. Built in WiFi and a great UI. I use primarily for movie files and I love the way it displays a wall of posters to select a movie. June 03, 2011 - 13:22
By the way, which of the 2 brands or product has the TV tuner? June 03, 2011 - 13:21
I guess HiMedia's up on my list unless a new player comes along. It seems like the new Sigma chipsets won't be out soon so I'm guessing new products will have the same Realtek chipset. I look forward for your take on Kworld soon. June 02, 2011 - 14:49
Thanks again! There's a distributor here that sells Kaiboer and HiMedia and from the ratings on this site, I guess HiMedia 600A/B would be a better choice. However, other forums seem to have a problem with its firmware (HiMedia's) and web features. There's something I found that's not here yet, KWorld M210 supposedly sold under $100 which has a high rating. June 02, 2011 - 16:20
Re. 360i vs HiMedia, price is always a factor and the 600 firmware is pretty robust these days. The newer KWorld players will be added soon, but at first glance I'd say that the 210 is 1073 based so previous chipset generation. $99 is a great price though. June 02, 2011 - 14:31
Hi iboum June 02, 2011 - 14:42
Most 1185 players are gigabit, but some are not. It is a feature of the chipset but (I guess to save money somehow) some manufacturers have omitted it from players. It's not necessarily a bad thing because you can get most of the 1185 features at a lower price by going for a player without Gigabit LAN. We are yet to give the 355i a rating because we don't know it's final specs yet, but it is likely to be the same as the 360i (10/100, USB2.0) and the rating is likely to be 3 also. The difference between the two is that the 355i omits the internal drive bay. USB external storage only. June 01, 2011 - 15:27
Hi! I'm planning on buying a Kaiboer player. I was planning on buying the 1055Plus but when I saw this new product it got me thinking. I wonder why it only has a 3 star rating in this website? Anyone would like to share their thoughts? June 01, 2011 - 18:43
A major reason is that it has only 10/100 networking. Otherwise it is a good player with all the other 1185 features at a lower price than most. Leave a Comment
