Capable Realtek chipset, looks
No DTS downmix, no firmware updates

Emtec N200
Realtek 1073 based Media Player. Has good format support and swift operation in line with the other Realtek 1073 players. Unusual looks, which we think are an improvement on the usual black brick. Not much information available on this player, especially in English. It's a pity that these German players are not more widely promoted outside Germany.

The Emtec N200 is technically capable and priced very competitively. Our two reservations are the lack of DTS downmix and there having only been one firmware release since launch.

Had one, plays great... when it works. Remote is very crappy as well (and interfered with my TV remote = Pioneer)

Crashes more and more, had to get a new one... but this time, picked up a ACRyan PlayonHD Mini. And that one never crashed so far.
