Egreat EG-R4A
One of three new Egreat players all using a new and we think very attractive casing. This model uses the latest Realtek 1073DD+ chipset which is capable of full HD-Audio support including DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD. Other highlights here include an externally mounted SATA port and a USB3 slave port.

Please note that this player is awaiting a firmware update to enable HD-Audio to 7.1.

The EG-R4A looks great and is one of the most feature packed Realtek players.

be aware that SLAVE USB 3 port on this unit isn't compatible with USB 2. You can't connect it to a USB 2 Port. Your PC motherboard should have USB3 or you must buy a USB 3 Card.

I love Egreat so much and I think it is the no. 1 over all the media player brands.

It dosen't support Arabic subs and doesn't play the voice attached to the iphone recorded video clips

Otherwise , it's great

Ok, this version of iconBit firmware looks fine. But can we expect another version 'hacked' with new improvements (eg. HD audio included)? Don't think so.
Hardware is quite powerful, pity that Egreat has one of the worst support ever.
Also pity that iconBit is available only in Russia. They have great firmware support and community.

I would not recommend anyone to buy product from this company.
Do not have support, on the site have information and misleading promises of features that do not exist.
There is no evolution in the firmware that is only a copy provided by Realtek.

PS. Anyone want to buy my R4A??

Still waiting, iboum. If you have this product in stock, then how about some screenshots and a description of the GUI? I love the Mede8er but its size is pretty hefty. This Egreat could be "great"!

As with all the Realtek DD+ players, the EG-R4A is awaiting a firmware update to enable HD-Audio. This update will also encompass the legendary Realtek SDK 3.0 as with the Mede8er. Because this update is so close (probably less than a month), there is little point in creating a load of photos of the current firmware.

However, we will be taking some more interface photos today of both this and the A1080, to be posted on the futeko forum: www.futeko.com

How does the GUI compare to the Mede9er's V3 firmare? Will it support YAMJ-like menus? Also, does it support Internet radio? I love the size and price, but the information is lacking some specifics - especially if you're also selling this product.
