There's a new firmware dated January 2013 available to download: www.datastorage.com October 08, 2018 - 20:24
Hi Pete, could you please share the FW of the HDPro i6? Thanks in advance October 05, 2012 - 02:00
Some firmware issues initially with many crashes, but since I sourced the latest firmware (Aug 2012 version) from www.datastorage.com.cn (using Google translate) I am finally happy with the box. Also have a Measy X5, build quality of the Measy is poor (tinny, poor ventiation) compare to this, but the firmware updates are much more regular and currently the GUI is way ahead of what the Datage i6 offers. Also the Measy remote codes are covered by my Harmony One remote. August 03, 2012 - 09:10

Hi December 04, 2012 - 08:20
I came back regarding my problem : June 18, 2012 - 06:44
Hey, you got this wrong. This is a HD media player not a Receiver. May 08, 2012 - 10:30
got this one around February or so through one of the chinese websites. Build quality is ok with brushed aluminium strip on the front and blue display and led strip. I like the HDD tray, which makes the installation of a drive very easy. The original firmware was from October 2011 and I had to upgrade immediately to the Decembers' version. However the player hanged frequently, which was annoying. The latest firmware from March 2012 fixes the reboots and hang ups and now everything works flawless. y current uptime is over a month or so without any problems. what I like: what I do not like: In general a decent buy. Next to test: 3d quality when I get a proper TV and wireless N when I upgrade my adsl router. May 03, 2012 - 01:53
I have this player since 4 month ago. The first firmware was very unstable, however they improved the firmware, and now the player works like a charm, very stable, very good build quiality. It can play almost every audio/video file. I have a slow internet connection, however I can see videos in youtube without any problem. I am very happy with it. May 01, 2012 - 11:52
