Xtreamer
One of the first Realtek players, offering a great range of features at a previously unimaginable price. When launched in July 2009 it was incredibly cheap compared to the less powerful players that had come before. The Xtreamer was a sign of things to come, with many more cheap Realtek players following.
The Realtek chipset and firmware combination provide great performance and format support. On the hardware side the Xtreamer is small but yet manages to cram in all the major features. The biggest issues are the noisy cooling fan and a lack of 7.1 audio support.
Firmware support for the Xtreamer was always amongst the best. It did not just reply on Realtek SDK updates and instead developed it's own features. Xtreamer get a lot of flack, mostly because they present a big target. In an imperfect world (Realtek 1073/1283 world) they did better than most.

You are quick February 02, 2012 - 13:13
Hello I would like, here are the alternative firmware install my question would be, but still the Xtreamer XLive is also supported by dsapacTV or is there then a possibility to install this? I hope someone can help Thank been out in front of you for your help. January 27, 2012 - 09:19
just wanted to give props to tweak and the other guys cross/flashing/modding etc - as you are breathing life into a device that has now pretty much at it's EOL - i salute you and your efforts January 23, 2012 - 15:12
@ Tweakradje: Thanx January 24, 2012 - 08:48
Telnet to it and use fdisk and mkfs like commands. January 24, 2012 - 11:04
As always... thank a lot!!! January 13, 2012 - 18:34
gaat Tweakradje nog een aangepaste versie uitbrengen voor XT MK1? January 13, 2012 - 21:56
Niet nodig. The r7 also runs on the Mk1. You can also flash the moservices XTPro version and then via the web interface add the pohd skin if you want. rc.suspend sets the speed for tty at different speed so the last ---------------------------------------------------------------- # Fan high speed Led yellow, a signal that poweroff is initiated echo -en '\xfe\x34\x00\xf8\xff' >/dev/tts/1 ##/usr/local/etc/rc.suspend # Wait for Dvdplayer to stop # Send hardware Off/Led red (needs twice!) January 16, 2012 - 16:15
Thanks Tweakradje but how to get there? What to do? January 17, 2012 - 10:54
Hi Tweakradje, Could you tell me the password for root access using ftp on xtreamer? I asume this is the easiest way to change files inside xtreamer hdd. Is this correct or you have other suggestions? January 17, 2012 - 11:11
Hi, it is /usr/local/etc. For ftp acces (=mos module) goto web page of the streamer and edit settings of ftpd ? Anyway you can always ask here: moservices.org Cheers January 17, 2012 - 12:09
but how you access/change files in the protected area using samba/cif? January 17, 2012 - 14:56
/usr/local/etc Tried also through Samba without results... can't access... January 17, 2012 - 15:44
What do you mean with protected area? The part of the firmware that is mounted with squashfs? You cannot change that. You need to unsquashfs it on a ext2 formatted usg stick or your hdd. Than change a file, rebuild the squashfs and then remount it on the player. January 18, 2012 - 14:27
At the end... how can I change /usr/local/etc/poweroff.sh if I can't open it? If so I will wait for a minor update... January 21, 2012 - 09:05
/usr/local/etc is writable (yaffs2 filesystem). You can share it using Samba (after adding Samba as mos service). Then you can edit it a file on /usr/local/etc from a pc. January 23, 2012 - 14:59
At the end... I did it. Thanks Tweakradje!!! January 03, 2012 - 12:09
There is new version amp_r7_pohd.zip. Someone know if this can be installed on MK1? Maybe tweakradje can tell us something. January 03, 2012 - 18:42
I have installed r7 runs fine, the swap to disc also works it seems faster as well. I have not played much but no problems so far, January 03, 2012 - 20:49
Glad to hear swap to disk works now. I haven't upgraded yet. Will do soon after backing up my custom mos services etc. SDK3+ (have seen SDK 4.5 somewhere) need swap with 128 Mb RAM devices like the Mk1. Else they will be slow. Cheers January 04, 2012 - 11:57
Thanks mickt and tweakradje for your remarks. Best wishes for 2012. January 06, 2012 - 15:06
are there any way to change the system font? January 08, 2012 - 13:39
Create a “Resource” folder on your HDD/USB storage device and place your TrueType fonts in this folder. Goto Setup and select your font. It will be loaded during boot. January 11, 2012 - 08:56
Will it be better to use this one? www.moservices.org January 11, 2012 - 11:57
mmm... nice question! January 11, 2012 - 14:19
Well it seems to be just a matter of skin (GUI)... R7_pohd is playon skin and R7_Xpro is xTreamer Pro skin. January 11, 2012 - 16:13
I have installed the xtpro version and its not bad but I don't have access to xtreamering options. How is it on the pohd version? Leave a Comment
