Dell Inspiron Zino HD 400
Making a welcome change from the usual Atom/ION combination the Dell Zino 400 uses AMD processors and one of two ATI Radeon graphics chips. Even at the lowest specification the Zino 400 is capable of HD video playback, otherwise it is difficult to comment on performance because Dell, as ever, offers complete customisation. All we can say is that any Zino 400 will make a great home theatre PC whatever spec you choose.

A DVD drive is standard with the option of Blu-Ray. The lowest capacity hard drive is a generous 7200RPM 250GB model. The box itself is larger than the usual Mini HTPC, with most of the bulk coming in depth.

The Zino 400 can be as well specified as you choose and at each level of specification it offers good value. The lowest specification model is the cheapest Mini HTPC you can buy with an integrated DVD drive.
