Youtube Switch Off Media Players?

On 18-Nov Google announced that they would be stopping devices from accessing Youtube through their API (programming interface).

Most Media Players use the API method to access Youtube. Google want people to only access Youtube through Youtube XL, a method that preserves the page layout of Youtube, and displays Google adverts. At the moment this leaves only a very select few players able to access Youtube after switch off on 02-Dec. We hope and expect future firmware updates to restore access for all the players now cut off.

Google, do no evil?

Media Players able to access Youtube: WDTV Live, ....!
