Miscellaneous Other Media Players
This page lists Media Players that we have decided to not give a full page to on our site. Typical reasons for a player ending up here are:
• Not being readily available for retail purchase.• Being old technology.
• Being incapable of 1080p video.
• So little information available that a page would be essentially empty.
• Being predominantly not a Media Player (e.g. PVR)
Players will also sometimes be listed here until we get around to assembling the details for a proper page.
Realtek 1073/1283 based:
• Amoi V6 - Chinese Realtek 1073 player. No English website. No retail signs.
• Blue Angel Cool H16 - Chinese Realtek 1073 player. No English website. No retail signs.
• HiMedia HD300 - No English info. Realtek 1073?
• Novatron iamm NTR83 - Realtek 1283. Also a PVR. Related to Novatron Media Players in Main Media Player section
• Novatron iamm NTR82 - Realtek 1283. Also a PVR. Related to Novatron Media Players in Main Media Player section
• Masscool MP-1370S - Possibly Realtek 1262. Also records. No MKV, no RMVB.
Sigma based:
• Hualu Slim BD Player - Chinese Sigma 8642 player.
• KAIBOER K009 HD Player - Sigma 8635. No DTS. Not network capable.
• KAIBOER K100 NMT Player - Sigma 8635 NMT. No DTS.
• KAIBOER K200 NMT Player - Sigma 8635 NMT. No DTS.
• KAIBOER K300 HD Player - Sigma 8635. No DTS. Not network capable.
• KAIBOER K500 HD Player - Sigma 8635. Good HD-Audio support. DTS. Not network capable.
• IOBox - NMT Sigma 8635.
• Masscool MP-1370S - Uncertain specification. Possibly Sigma 8635

• WYPlay Mediabox V2 - Uses unknown ST7105 chipset. Also Freeview box and TV recorder. DTS downmix.

• TVBLOB BlobBox - Wide ranging PC like functionality. Freeview PVR. Detailed specification unclear. Italian.
• Verbatim MediaStation Pro - Late 2008 player based on the Realtek 1262.
• Freecom MediaPlayer II - Not 1080p or MKV capable.
• Freecom MediaPlayer XS HDMI - Not 1080p capable. Simple SD video adpater.
• Mele Various Products - Nothing 1080p capable.

I Have been trying to get a hold of a Venice V38 has anyone got one are they any good ? ive tried to contact the manufacturs skydigital in korea without success. there doesnt appear to be many suppliers around for this product. Has anyone got any ideas or comments? January 14, 2010 - 12:25
Have you looked at the DivXtech Venice 38.? It uses the Sigma SMP8634 chipset, has 3.5 HDD AND DVD player, plus wireless LAN b/g/n. Leave a Comment
