This page lists all major changes to the iboum website.
[18/19-Feb-2010] Continued to rip apart the fabric of the site so it can be reassembled in a more modern guise. To this end the task is done. Content will be the focus from herein.[17-Feb-2010] Added Envivo.
[16-Feb-2010] Added Allure M3, DViCO Tvix N1. Added a blog article about the monthly rate of Media Player releases. Re-wrote the Media Player index pages to be automatic from the central database. Added User Rating to snippet boxes and did some redesign.
[10/11-Feb-2010] Rewrote the HTPC section to bring it into line with the Media Player pages and enable better sorting and easier adding. Added Xtreamer Pro, HornTek Phantom
[9-Feb-2010] Added many more Media Player HD-Audio sorting options.
[8-Feb-2010] Added Traxdata MultiMedia Station. Added The Question of Content blog article. Partially added Noontec A6, Noontec A6 Power, and Noontec V8
[4/5-Feb-2010] Added Fantec HDMI-miniTV and Fantec TV-FHDS. Rewrote some product pages. Published iboum.com Best Media Player, Feb 2010 article.
[3-Feb-2010] Added Bollo NMP-MOB and Bollo NMP-SE.
[23-Jan to 2-Feb-2010] Added Sarotech abigs (T6) and EGreat EG-R1B. Re-ranked a lot of players. No player should be ranked above 2* without DTS downmix.
[21to22-Jan-2010] Added short descriptions to all the media player sort pages. Added a sort by user rating button to media player pages. Various updates to pages and refining of the database.
[13to20-Jan-2010] Continued with changes to the database behind the site. Learnt more PHP. All sorting, filtering, most player pages, and some other page elements are now drawn from one central database, making management much easier. Added more Media Player sort options. Added Sumvision Cyclone Micro, Nationite HDVP-1. Updated many pages.
[12-Jan-2010] Added Popcorn Hour A-200, D-Link Pebble, Zaggbox. Added HTPCS: Aleutia H1 (standard), Aleutia H1 (deluxe)
[08-Jan-2010] Updated the HTPC pages in the same way as the Media Player ones to incorporate the better underlying data systems. Switched primary currency for HTPC pages to $. Added more filtering and sorting options to HTPC pages. Updated a few pages.
[07-Jan-2010] More work behind the scenes, this time on creating a better system for ordering data and allowing easier adding of products. Also improved the linkage between the product database and the grid. Updated a few pages.
[06-Jan-2010] Added Olevia 1080p HD Media Player (ZP-530) , Viewsonic VMP70
[05-Jan-2010] Added PopBox, HDX-BD1, MSI Movie Station. Added year filtering to main Media Player index. Updated some players. Added Adsense bar to header. Updated comparison table.
[29/30/31-Dec-2009] Big changes to how the Media Player pages are created allowing for quicker and easier adding of players as well as better sorting and filtering, some of which has been implemented. Started the process of changing the predominant currency to $ to reflect user base. Added more detail to the main Media Player index page to make it more like the mini HTPC section. There are a few players stacked up ready to be added next week, we were waiting for the underlying improvements as detailed above to be finished. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
[24-Dec-2009] A few minor changes all round over Xmas.
[14to16-Dec-2009] Added ACRyan PlayOn Mini, Cirago CMT1000, Eminent EM7080, The perfect Media Player article, updated many pages including Popcorn Hour C200, Asus OPlay!Air, ACRyan PlayOn, Mvix Ultio. And managed the change of host so that downtime was almost zero!
[11-Dec-2009] Added Medion Life E85015 HD
[10-Dec-2009] Improved Graphics Performance in Mini HTPCs page.
[09-Dec-2009] Modified the site design, added advertising bar underneath menu, did background preparation for changing hosts at the weekend.
[07/08-Dec-2009] After battling through illness and computer meltdown: Added Boxee Box, Datage HDProNovatron NTD29, Novatron NTD57, Novatron NTD58, Sony SMP U-10, Zyxel DMA-2500 pages. Updated rankings, updated chipset page.
[04-Dec-2009] Created Mini-HTPC processor page with benchmark data, added players to misc other Media Players page (some of these to go in main index soon), started on Mini HTPC HD-Audio page and table data, added Dell Zino 400 to Mini HTPC page.
[03-Dec-2009] Created base Mini HTPC processor page, finished December's Best Media Player article.
[02-Dec-2009] Got close to completing Mini HTPC product catalogue, half wrote December's Best Media Player article, added sorting options to Mini-PC section.
[01-Dec-2009] Added many more pages to the Mini HTPC Comparison Grid, added Mini HTPC link to header.
[30-Nov-2009] Much work on the Mini HTPC Comparison Grid and Mini HTPC Comparison Table.
[29-Nov-2009] Added Mini HTPC Comparison Grid, established what the page should look like and contain, and began adding Mini-PCs. Much adding to happen over the coming days..
[26-Nov-2009] Added Brite-View HDPrimo BV-6000P, re-ordered the Media Player sort by price page to be in $US, added index page for Mini-PC Media Player section, updated Dune Base 3.0 page.
[25-Nov-2009] Made a beginning on the Nettop / HTPC Comparison Table
[24-Nov-2009] Updated HD Audio Explained page based on HD-Audio table improvements, updated WDTV (mk2) page.
[23-Nov-2009] Added Prodigi PD-100N, Added firmware section for ACRyan PlayOn and Astone 100, general table detail updates.
[20-Nov-2009] Added changelog, sorted out the WDTV gen1/gen2 mess, uploaded latest table data with previous 2 day's updates (HD-Audio should now be as accurate as we can get it), added details for WDTV (mk2) to site and table, added 'Miscellaneous other Media Players' page, added a few players to the misc page.
[19-Nov-2009] Added WDTV (mk2), updated several pages, checked and rechecked table for accuracy again, added prices to some 'places to buy' links, added more links to Amazon customer reviews.

Hello, I like them all shown but alot of info is not shown, Even if you had a search function it would help. As i would like to known which Mini HTPC has more than 2 Esata ports. As for now you have to check each and every one. Thanks January 16, 2010 - 09:15
The Mini HTPC Comparison Table will let you sort by eSATA ports. As to the grid, we are currently testing some big changes to the way the data is dealt with that will allow much better searching / filtering. Expect big improvements in this area over the coming weeks. December 04, 2009 - 22:39
Thanks for posting all this comprehensive, up-to-date info! I did a bunch of my own research, came to mostly the same conclusions (I missed a few models), then found this site. I'll just be checking here from now on until I decide between the newest media player, mini HTPC/nettop, and netbook. Leave a Comment
